This evening I took the possums back to the people we got them from. After a couple days they will be introduced to the farm and shown where to find food. This little boy is so sweet that he may find himself more a house pet than a wild critter. We had two weeks of touch and go with the little female. She just appeard to quit eating and when she would eat she gagged on every bite. But this morning she ate quite a lot of scrambled eggs and several grape halves with no problem at all. So whatever was going on appears to have cleared up. I will sure miss them. I will not miss the extra work of taking care of them or cleaning up after them. But loving on that little boy...that I will miss!
So....drum roll please....I did some research on Horsetail and this is what I found.

Horsetail is an ancient plant that has been found in fossils. Quite a bit of interesting history there. But my interest lies in what it can do for me medically...sadly...it is not recommened for diabetics. But, it has a lot of uses.... it is helpful for treatment of....
Kidney Stones
Urinary Tract Infections
Brittle Nails and Hairloss
Minor Wounds and Burns
Possible improvement in bone density
Antioxidant
and may inhibit cancer cell growth.
It should not be taken by peoplle taking Lithium and may block the absorption of potassium. But it does have a use for the human body!
I will save and dry some for keeping in case Craig or Liam ever has a need. And I will give some to my sister. But I suppose that most of it will end up in the yard debris can.
Last evening my Bible study group did a prayer walk around one of Albany's high schools. While out I discovered dozens of first year Wild Carrot plants...another wild edible. I will have information on that soon.
Today I weeded a pathway and one bed. It was the bed in the worst shape so that felt good. I planted more Bok Choy and also two cantaoupe plants. Did several loads of laundry and was just generally busy most of the day. And now it is time for me to head toward bed. Nighty night.....
