We will be playing a couple games today. Thanksgiving Bingo sounded fun! And at the dinner table we will pull a question out of a basket and answer it. There are 16 questions in the basket. One of the questions is 'How is Thanksgiving now different from when you were young?' My answer is twofold. My grandparents are no longer with us. And I miss them. My dad is no longer with us...and I miss him. So it is different in that very special people in my life are no longer here. And the second reason it is different.....I seem to do a lot more of the work than I did as a kid. A LOT more!
Today Jacqueline and Grandma (my mom) are going to be making the stuffing together. She wanted to do some part of the dinner and that is what she and Annette decided. I am in charge of the turkey and dinner rolls...the bread machine will do most of that work.
Liam is pretty wired with all the extra people in the house. The noise level might be getting to him also. But it is going to be a dry sunny and cold day so someone will take him out for a nice long walk and hopefully burn off some energy!
I hope you all have a wonderful day full of family and friends and thanksgiving as we remember how blessed we are!
I will now leave you with a Liamism:
'Daddy, can I have another mint?"
You don't need any more Liam.
"Did you say that when we get home can I have another one?"
No Liam, I told you two was enough and you had two.
(After a moment of thought) "Well, when they come out of my potty part can I have another one?"
