A few weeks ago I was making chicken and Liam wanted so badly to help. I just wanted to get it done but then Liam helping in Auntie Pam's kitchen came into my mind. Once you show him what to do he really does a good job. And he came to me with freshly washed hands because he knows that is a requirement. How could I turn him down? So there he is being such a helper boy.
You might remember my post of several months ago when we went to a bounce house with indoor park. Liam had gone up the big slide but not down. No amount of coaxing or help from his little friends could change his mind. I went up and came down with him and was greeted by an employee who told me I was not able to do that. Even though I was within the weight/height parameters. I was not within the AGE parameters for that particular time of day. Anyway, last month Liam and two of his little friends went to an Albany bounce house and he came down alone!!!!!!
They had fun with the basket ball hoop.
The face of a very happy boy!
Then off to Costco for a hotdog lunch. They always hold hands like this.
They all want a hot tub.
Last week we went to Get Air in Salem for a friends birthday party.
Last week we went to Get Air in Salem for a friends birthday party.
I took several pictures and they all look like this. So I am just going to put one in. It is a large building full of wall to wall trampolines. There is a section where they go up the wall so you can bounce high up. There is a section with foam pits where Liam spent a great deal of time. Then there is a section for children who do not meet the height requirement. As you can see there is a very little one out there. This particular day was the homeschoolers time. So I am thinking they do not stick to the height rule since it is families and homeschooled children. I think my friend and I are going to start going a couple Wednesdays a month. It is $5 for two hours of jumping and can be considered PE. I know Liam would like that.
Halfway through his jump time two girls from the party brought him to me. He had fallen and gotten and owee on his forehead. He insisted on a picture. The rest of the redness on his face is just Liam playing hard and being hot and sweaty. When we got home from Get Air Liam tried to get air getting out of the van. He fell out and skinned up his elbow. It was a rough day on a five year old body.
We went and watched his cousin Jacqueline play volleyball. She plays with Club Volleyball so it is very professional. They play hard and good! And some of those girls are so tall!! Jacqueline is over 5.10!! Liam actually lasted quite a while and through quite a few games. Then I got him a bag of trail mix and goldfish and bought more time. But finally my bottom was tired of bleachers. I really enjoyed watching them play and wish I had taken the time to go to more of her closer games. But I might have a really good excuse.....at least for the last couple months.
I finally went to the doctor yesterday and found out I have a sinus infection and have had probably since having the flu back in February. I have struggled with energy so badly. I never struggle with energy. Lack of sleep yes...energy no. But I have just felt so miserable so much of the time. I am taking antibiotics and am starting to feel some relief from the pressure of nasal congestion. I asked the doctor to give me a non generic decongestant. I got a generic decongestant. It is a 60mg tablet every 4 to 6 hours. That was useless...120mg was useless...but I finally was able to breath through my nose after taking 180mg! At that rate I only have 10 doses. Sure hope the antibiotic moves quick!
Liam went to the doctor last week. His nose has been so plugged and he has had a cough that was so deep in his chest and sounded so wet. Craig mentioned that he sure hopes Liam didn't have pneumonia. I made the call! As bad as he was sounding his lungs were perfect the pediatrician said. The dose of Zertec was not enough for his weight, so that was increased and she added a generic decongestant. Which is not working just like it doesn't work on me. And for him I am concerned about upping the dose. Thankfully the cough is gone and he is having less nose issues. Because we had such a mild winter our allergy season started much earlier so Liam has been suffering for a long time.
On Sunday I picked up a diffuser from the health food store and yesterday I sat with it as it diffused Breathe, Lavendar, Peppermint and Eucalyptus into the air. I did start feeling some clearing of my sinuses and it sure was a strange popping crackling sound.
I have quite a few more pictures but am going to save them for the next post. Don't want to overwhelm you after the long dry spell! I will leave you with a selfie.........

You thought it might be me...or Liam...right? Well, Laim did take a couple selfies but they were so blurry I couldn't use them. And I am not a selfie taker. So you get Creeper...or Bomb Guy as Liam calls him. It is a character from Minecraft. I like Sheepie better but Bomb Guy is who came with us to watch Jacqueline at volleyball.
I will leave you with a Liamism: Last night Liam begged me to let him sleep with me. Liam is not a good bed buddy. He kicks and squirms and thrashes and moans and talks. And with my sinuses the way they are sleep has been very illusive. I did not need any additional help to keep me awake. So I told him no, tonight was not a good night for that.
"Then I am leaving this house in the morning!"
'Oh...can I go with you?'
"No, I'm going alone!"
'Are you taking Sheepie?'
"Yes"
'Are you taking Bomb Guy?'
"Yes"
'Are you taking Boo Bankie?'
"Yes.....mom...... I might need a little help so you can come with me."
