Melaluca or more commonly known as Tea Tree Oil is one I have used for quite a while. They say there is a two day challenge for acne. Well, since I am old it took longer than two days for me but it did help to clear up the acne I have been struggling with for two years! I hit 48 and my face and neck break out like I am a teen ager! In fact...I had never had that bad of acne as a teenager!!! I tried everything. Finally reading an article about hormones and the M word and all that was going on in my aging body calmed me down enough to think clearly and I gave melaluca a try. It did help. And I found that pimples didn't pop up where I had spread it also! Halleluiah! But...I will confess...in my desperation I had also given Vicks a try. I noticed that one large monstrosity that had been hanging on for what felt like decades was considerably smaller the day after dabbing it with Vicks and was gone by the next day. So...I guess that if one doesn't work for you the other will.
Melaluca is also well known for treating lice. Thank goodness I have never had to use it for that. I have used it for wound treatment with success. I read it also kills warts. I am not able to test that theory but am going to test it on toenail fungus....So there's a fungus amongus. I know I am not the only one! I heard that Vicks also is a good way to rid yourself of the fungus but either I didn't give it enough time...or...I didn't give it enough time...because it didn't work for me. I will give melaluca a bit more of a chance. For the purposes of this blog of course!
We have been having the most 'delightful' weather for the last way too long! This is March...the coming in like a lion month! So, since the last nearly two weeks of February, we have had sunny days in the mid 60's! It is criminal! I have moaned about the lack of snow and fortunately we have had enough rain to keep us at near normal levels for that. But our nearest water source, Detroit Dam, is 25 feet below normal right now and there is no snow to melt into it! Okay...done complaining. But today is another lovely spring type day. And Craig's day off. So we plan on doing some outside type stuff. I asked Liam last night if he wanted to ride bikes, ride the motorcycle with daddy, take a long walk....what? He decided he wanted to help daddy work on the truck..."that is outside and it is activity" he reasoned. Not really the type of activity I was thinking of......but it is in the sun and outdoors. And he loves crawling around under the truck. I need to get a picture of that.
But I will show you a picture I did get......

X marks the spot where a 5 year old boy, with a red permanent marker, that he got from his dad (had to throw that in) sat. If the cats and dogs, that used to occupy this house, hadn't already done so much damage to the carpet, I might have blown a gasket! But I asked him why he did it. No response...I wasn't expecting one. Then I told him that all markers were off limits for a while. "For 600 days!!!?" he asked in shock. I have to chuckle...everything is 6 days, or 600 days or some funny number like that. Life with Liam.
I have quite a few pictures on the camera for upcoming blog posts. Lots of juicy stuff to keep you all happy!
I will leave you with a Liamism: I may have used this one already, but it would have been a long time ago and maybe forgotten. I just stumbled on a few I had written on the back cover of my address book, meaning, I was in the car, probably having dropped off packages at the post office. And this particular one would have been when he was around three....around or soon after the last time David was with us. "Mommy! Turn music down, I'm expecting a 'card' from David." And since I remember this I can tell you what he did next. He picked up his toy cell phone and started talking to David. I miss having a toddler. Time moves by so fast. I am so blessed to be living this life.
