Three days ago I had some wonderful ideas for this particular post. And this evening I am drawing a blank. For starters...the camera had a lot fewer pictures on it than I thought. I sort of remember taking some shots that seem to not be there...I am aging...I could be wrong about that.
I will start by saying that Liam had 10 dry mornings in a row!!!! This morning, however, he was ever so slightly damp. But since we are really just starting this next phase of our lives, I would say that was a pretty good 'dry run' get it....hehe.
He is also starting to make his own fashion statements.

This is one 'beach' flippie and one 'orange' flippie. And yes...he thinks it's a hoot to go out in public like this!
This is his can shirt. I have no idea what a 'can' shirt is or what it is that reminds him of a can. But that is what he calls it. And may I introduce you to his pet kiwi and pet kumquats. That is what he calls them. We rarely leave the produce section without a pet kiwi in the cart. At 33 cents they are much cheaper than a dog. But the kumquats are new. And at $7.69 a pound I am not sure a dog might not be cheaper!
This is how I dress him. I love sweater vests so much! Craig teases me every time he sees them. I got after him the morning this picture was taken. I told him not to say negative things because I don't want Liam to refuse to wear certain things because of what daddy says.
Not sure what daddy said about this but I imagine it was not positive:)
We are still working on dressing ourselves. He can do his underwear and pants alone. And 99 percent of the time he will. We still have the moments when he 'can't' and really really needs help! He can sort of do his shirts. But he can't button. He needs help with socks but can do shoes most of the time. And he even gets the right foot quite often! Other mothers are surprised that he is behind in that. But I am not worried. I hope I shouldn't be. I love him needing me like that. I still love his little 'baby' body. I love that shorts season is on its way. He has the cutest legs on the planet! I love his little hands and they still need help washing. I love that job! I hope I am not turning into an enabler!! Yikes! That would be a really bad thing! He can be such a big boy in the kitchen. Getting his own water. Eating an apple without me cutting and peeling it. Helping me empty and fill the dishwasher. Putting his dirty dishes in the sink. What a big boy helper!
He will sit at the piano and 'play' beautiful music. Right now he is playing a song about flower gardens. Generally they are about trains. There is one book I play out of that he doesn't like. It is the Fiddler on the Roof book. Whenever I play he will sneak into the room and peek very carefully behind the pages to see the cover...like he doesn't know for sure it is the same book...anyway...he finally told me he does not like the man on the front cover. A drawing of a chubby fiddler in period clothing. But I am undaunted!

Liam got a hold of my camera again the other day. So here are a few pictures he took....
Daddy and Mogga on our bi-weekly lunch date.
The can shirt.
Those sweet little fingers!
He gave me today's Liamism while I was sitting here typing.....he came up to me and leaning against me said "mommy, my heart is bleeding because you won't put tracks together with me". Thirty seconds later his heart was 'beating like a drum.' So I guess he got over it.
