Last week Liam and two friends went the Wacky Bounce House in Corvallis for 90 minutes of bouncing fun. And they had fun! In the top picture is Liam with Ben and McClara. McClara is three months older than Liam and Ben is five days younger than him. Ben and Liam share a common nationality. Philipino. As you can see Liam towers over them.
I thought this was a good one of Ben.
McClara hair!
And then after you have warn yourself our bouncing you can play some dress-up.
Then you top off your day as Kings...and Queen. While we were eating a little boy probably slightly older than these guys started throwing a fit to beat all fits! High pierced screaming and thrashing around. After that family had left with him in tow Liam quietly said to me "that little boy needed a spanking!" Ben heartily agreed.
Yesterday was our break in the rain so I did a bunch of transplanting out in the greenhouse and planted the rest of the lettuce in the garden. I had no idea where I was going to put it. All the beds are still covered with plastic except the one that needs weeding. I was in no mood to do either. So I happened to spot the pea bed. The area between the rows had nothing in it. Lightbulb moment! There is now a row of Freckled Romaine lettuce there.
I also got my Mother's Day present last night. Three blueberry bushes, six .74 cent annuals and one larger pink and white striped petunia that will look wonderful on the front porch! Good thing about having Liam is I am eligible for gifts on Mother's Day! The blueberries will replace the lavender that are dead in the front yard. We won't try a third time...I doubt it would be the 'charm'.
Tomorrow is the all day play date with our church group. I was in charge of bringing dessert. I looked at recipes and just didn't get inspired. Though I did find one recipe for 'wholesome' peanut butter bars. It calls for butter...nothing wrong there...peanut butter....still okay....one bag of marshmallows! And five cups of Golden Grahams!! And they call that wholesome!! Wow! I call it diabetes waiting to happen! But it did sound good! Anyway...we went to Costco and I looked at their dessert tables. To get enough for 13 people would have been a small fortune in pies, or cookies (boring) or any other item. So I went to the cakes. Who doesn't love a Costco cake!? And there was a beautiful Happy Mother's Day one! There are four mothers at our play date...plus one next door (grandma), so...we will be having Costco cake. At least they don't promote it as wholesome.

Here is a parting shot....a whale. You could tell that couldn't you?
And now for a Liamism: He wanted to play dragons with me. He wanted us to be 'breathing fire dragons and gather sticks to make fire camps'. I never thought to play these games as a kid!
