As you all know I have been taking piano lessons for a few months. Again. I did years ago. Five years to be exact. Seemed like a lifetime! I fought and struggled my way through the entire time. So why in heavens name am I subjecting myself to it again!? Well this time it is my choice. I am enjoying it also.
I just finished up this book last week.
For the second time.....
And I have started this book...again.
Maybe this time around I will finish it!
Last week I found this at a thrift store. So I am set for a while.
But it looks really really hard!! Though I have found this time around that songs do start off looking hard and somehow I muddle my way through them and eventually can play with some form of accuracy.
This is my hardest piece right now. I first looked at this and thought to myself...well, here is where it all ends...there is no way I can ever play this! But somehow I am working my way through it!
So....that is what I am doing around here for about a half hour every day. Yes...a half hour. That is just about as much as I can get in before Liam asks me to either stop or let him play.
In garden news...the few things I have planted and the plants in the greenhouse are all doing well. We are getting some rain now which is really nice. The peas didn't feel like I gave them quite enough of the liquid sunshine. I just sort of forgot that we had had a few days of no rain. I am only human! Craig sprayed the last of the weeds that I hadn't gotten to. They really have some major roots! I am hoping on the next day suitable for weeding they will be good and ready to pull. Sometime this month we will finish off the last section (the nemesis) and finally have that under control! Last summer David planted three perennial flowering plants back there. They all died this winter. Along with the lavender. I have two potted lavender from Auntie Pam and they are happy and healthy. They do not live in the ground well here.
The van has been giving us fits...but that is the way things go sometimes. We took it to the mechanic but it would not do for them what it has been doing for us. And it showed no code of course. Other than that life is good and all is well.
I will leave you with a Liamism: As he was trying to get his church shoes on I hear him say "mommy, my shoes are not participating!" His shoes never do.
