They are practically an old married couple now! A week and a half! I hear they are doing great! I have been sick for the past week so am just now getting to this post. This wedding was so fun! The pastor made so many jokes yet kept it so solemn. One of the vows that Austin made to Amanda was that he would always watch romantic movies with her....except for Saturdays.....during football season. One of the activities they had planned for the reception was having all the married couples go to the dance floor and dance. Then they began weeding them out...those married a year or less...5 years of less, 10 years or less....we have been married 22 years so we were up there quite a while. Then with the two remaining couples they asked for advice. One man said the most hilarious thing. He said that the key to a good marriage is 'incompatibility' . Of course every person in that room wondered what the heck he meant. Then he enlightened us. 'The husband must always have an income and the wife must always be pattable'. I thought that was priceless!
I think the most inspiring thing about this wedding was that this precious couple waited until their wedding day for all the marriage things. It is more common now to have couples live together and even have children before getting married. Amanda and Austin waited for it all! Then they honeymooned at Seaside....and the rest is history!

Boy howdy do I want to get one of these Prince Charlie jackets for Craig's very own! This one was rented.
Amanda and her brother Andrew...can you believe I started babysitting these two when they were 5 and 6 years old!!!
Andrew and his wife Megan.
No wedding is complete without the bride making faces now is it?
And no wedding is complete without the 'if you ever do anything to hurt this girl" speech.
My sister, brother in law and niece with the cute couple.
The first dance. I will add that after this time of intimate, romantic sweetness....Amanda did run a few steps away and run back to Austin and he lifted her ...sort of like what happened the first time Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swayze tried it on Dirty Dancing. I call it an Amandaism. The wedding was full of them!
And again...no wedding complete without the bride attacking the cake. I see fear in Austin's eyes.
I danced with Liam until I was dizzy. After I sat back down he started working the floor. Looking for someone to dance with him. This kind lady did....then she tied his shoe lace.
The pictures from the wedding photographer are not ready yet. Those will contain not only much nicer shots but the picture of Craig and Amanda going down the isle. I might have to post an amended wedding blog when I see those!
I am feeling as though I am on the mend so just might be able to pull my one foot out of the grave. Who knows...maybe tomorrow I might get dressed. I love flannel nightgowns! They are so comforting when you are sick! That and my pillow! Don't know if I will leave the house though. I think I am going for a record number of days at home! Tomorrow will be 7! Think of the money I am saving!
