If you have been with me long you might remember that two years ago we celebrated something on a stick day with David and he and Liam ate things on a stick that day. I came unprepared this year. So I posted a stock picture of one of my favorite foods on a stick! And I am so unprepared I have no idea what I am going to give Liam on a stick to eat but I am sure I can come up with something. Now I just need to find a stick!
We sort of had Christmas in March a few days ago. We received a large package from Australia! Inside was gifts to each of us!

Please let me explain Craig's expression. He was smiling in the first six pictures I took. But each of them was either all blurry or Liam had moved his hand blurring his face. But he was pretty tickled to get this shirt and Liam was equally as excited. We were heading into town when we grabbed the mail so as soon as we got to the store Liam switched shirts and he looked so adorable walking through Fred Meyer in this outfit! He got lots of smiles! I also received a dish towel and a purse/bag. I took pictures of them but I don't know how to take pictures off the camera and I didn't want to keep the giver of these gifts waiting any longer to see the boys all dressed up and get a thank you. So, thank you so much Lois for thinking of us like this and giving us such a nice surprise!!
I am pretty excited about sharing this oil. Up until last night I had not had any relief using it. I do have a funny story about it. Craig was acting a little agitated several months ago. So I thought I would rub it on the back of his neck to see if it might calm him down. A few seconds later he started screaming like a girl. Evidently it is not good to rub some oils on sunburned areas. I am not sure if I have been forgiven for that yet. Anyway....last night I attended a get together of oil enthusiasts and people interested in them at my pastors house. They passed around the past tense and asked each of us to put some on our necks. I thought. at first that I would just pass it on but then thought again and decided to use some. I never expected it to help at all. You see, while I had been sitting there my neck and upper back had begun to ache and I felt a tension headache coming on. I had been pondering moving to a sofa to see if I could get more comfortable. But about three minutes after rubbing it on the back of my neck I no longer had the headache, my neck had quit hurting and I didn't have to change seating! I was beyond impressed! And, it wasn't just a quick fix bandaging over the pain. It is hours later and the headache has not come back and my neck and upper back feel great! I am so glad I tried it! I just know that I need to avoid it if there is a sunburn. Of course..it can also be applied to the bottoms of the feet like all oils. Might just take a little longer to travel to the affected area....at least I would think. I will also add that Past Tense is used for joint and muscle pain and help relaxing. It has anti-inflammatory oils in it. And oils that sedate, calm and soothe the nerves.
I was asked for the recipe for the toothpaste I made. I should have included that in the post. So here it is. 7 tbls solid coconut oil, 7 tbls baking soda, several drops of liquid stevia and several drops of peppermint oil. Melt the oil on the stove top, mix in the other ingredients and put into container. Now that it has been a while since I made it and started using it I can tell you that you will want more of the oil than I first used. I used about 4 or 5 drops. The first couple days I tasted it but I don't any longer. I am not sure if that is because it has dissipated or what. Then that makes me think that maybe if you are making the toothpaste with another oil for therapeutic reasons you might want to make a smaller batch. Just a thought. I am no oil expert. I just know what is working for me.
I will leave you with a Liamism: Today Liam and Craig were going upstairs to charge his Fire. I heard Liam call as he ran up "Whoever makes it to the top wins a rotten egg!!" I think Craig slowed down!
