Today is my 3rd Mother's Day....
What a special joy being a mother is. Especially when you have waited and prayed and longed for over 25 years then to finally be blessed with that most wonderful of callings....words can not describe.
Our message at church was perfect. The parents responsibility to the children. That we must make Decisions in regards to our homes and leading our children. The lack of leading in the homes is leading to an out of control sodiety. We must be Diligent in our paretning. Teaching our children godly principles. Teaching them our values. Activities outside the home are being done to the neglect of things of the Lord and teaching our children the things of the Lord. Disciplining our children must be done carefully and prayerfully. If we don't discipline them we don't love them the Bible says. And if we don't require obedience to us then how can we expect them to obey God? And our Demeanor must be something we want them to immulate. We must be the example because our children do as they see us do. Finally our Devotion as parents to our children. Our responsibility to provide the type of home where they can learn about the Lord. Our pastor said that to bring up a child without Biblical principals is to give them a handicap right off the bat. And I have seen this so much in families around me! We have a powerful influence on our children. God has intrusted these precious souls to us and I know that I want to be able to stand before Him someday and here Him say that I did well!
Have a wonderful Mother's Day friends!
