Here are the pictures from the wonderful birthday party that Auntie Pam gave Liam. The cake was a hit! From the picture of him on it to the fire of the candles that they lit several times to him being able to eat as much frosting as he wanted. It is the best part you know!
I should also mention the other gifts she gave him. A balloon kit. What a hit that was and still is! It's those long thin balloons that they use to make stuff out of. Plus a pump! Huge hit! And a 'cell phone' that you can record your voice on. Liam loves that. One pre-recorded voice keeps asking him to go out and play. He gets exasperated with her sometimes! Auntie Pam recorded him a birthday message but he has long since erased it.
It was such a nice day in so many ways. Our time with Auntie Pam is always so special. And the weather has been amazing here! We went to Lake Victoria and walked along the water for a ways then made our way to a playground. You know how, as you get older and broader, the swings just don't fit quite right? Well, it is a problem I have run into anyway. The swings at this park were perfect! And for the first time in years and years I swung! Up and down and up and down.....back and forth while the perfect breeze went through my hair. Almost conjuring up feelings of being a girl again. Carefree. Liam and Auntie Pam played on the 'playstation' as Liam calls them while I lost myself in a simple swing. I wish I had pictures to share from there. With autumn showing on the trees. A vivid blue sky. And if it was feel-a-vision you could have felt just how perfect the temperature was! I can not get over this fall! The most wonderful one I can remember! 68-72....the most ideal temperatures of all time!

Yep...a perfect day in every way...except one....it had to end.
