My Blessings
Hello, my name is Desiree. Please sit back and enjoy your time with me on my little blog.
I am the 48 year old mother of a three year old and the wife of a wonderful man.
The title of my blog, A Woman Blessed, describes my life. You see, after praying for a baby for 25 years, 2 months and 8 days the Lord heard and answered! A tiny baby boy, 20 minutes old, was laid in my arms. My Journey to Motherhood is the 1500 word version of my story. How do you put the most amazing experience of your life into 1500 words!? With the help of a very talented friend!
I am blessed to be able to stay home to raise our little man. And in September I will officially begin to homeschool him. A dream I have carried in my heart since 1984 when my prayer first began. I live in a small Oregon town and have turned almost every inch of our yard space into raised bed gardens,. fruit trees, berry bushes and potato tires. I can and preserve all the extra that my garden provides. I am a voracious reader, my favorite books being Amish fiction. I enjoy crafts and crocheting but those are on hold until Liam is better able to leave things alone. I want to share the story behind the picture of the clothes line. Each spring and summer I would use my time at the clothesline praying...and always my prayers would turn to having a baby. That one day I would hang up my own babies clothes to dry. This was the first load of the spring after Liam was born. I felt it a very fitting picture.
As my blog unfolds my story will with it. I hope you are blessed by being here.
